Presta Valve Extenders

Anyone use presta valve extenders...such as these by Silca?

not me, the Con: you can unscrew the removable presta valve core as easily as unscrewing the stem cap , and let all the air out.

the extender is of course added to a removable valve presta tube.. the valve relocated onto the extender top.

you can also just buy non removable valve core presta stems that are longer, in selecting a replacement innertube.

I've used them and they work fine. If possible I would prefer to buy the tubes that come with the longer stem already, but if you just upgraded wheels and need a longer stem, the extenders do work. Try using silicon tape (the kind plumbers use) on the threads before attaching the extenders to prevent pressure loss.
