Adjusting Seat Height on Raleigh T-bolt. Help?

I have recently come into possession of a Raleigh T-bolt. I'm trying to adjust the seat height but it doesn't seem to be as simple as all those how-to videos make it look. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to fit an allen key and there's a silver bolt, but no space for a wrench to manoeuvre (unless I need a smaller wrench). Basically I'm not sure what I need to do or even what tools I need, and after three days of confusion and far too much time spent on Google I've had enough.

The bike looks like this:

The quick release lever right under the fender mount is what secures the seat; no tools required.

You will have to loosen the fender if you want to move the seat down.

BTW, if you are that unfamiliar with bicycles I suggest you take it to a bike shop (preferably one that sells Raleighs) and ask them to give you a run-through on how it works...

Ohh. Okay. Do I just pull it out or does it twist down? I tried doing both but it seemed quite stiff (excuse phrasing). Perhaps I will need a crow bar. Or robot hands.

I'm just using it to get to and from work so, is there much else I'd need to know other than like, how to ride it?

You need to go to a bike shop and ask them to show you how this works, and perhaps to give the bike a quick going-over.

The last thing you need is for something to fall off the bike while you are in traffic...

Thanks! The bike shop is on my way home anyway so I will drop in and ask them to check it over.

Do you have something like this ?? The lever "flips" open. You don't turn it.
Look up "quick release"
If not, post a better picture.

That's what he has (in black alloy) but it's use is best demonstrated in person rather than written about in a forum...

Yes, thank you. That's what it is. I did a quick youtube search and hopefully I'll be able to sort it today, assuming it's not stuck too bad.
