FSA CArbon Crank /FD problem@!!!

I have a FELT F30 with DuraAce derailuers/and shifters. I have tried making adjustments to the FD to get it to shift onto the Big chainring (its a triple by the way), while i am riding on the bike. I went thru the PARK tools instructions and no worky. If the bike is on my workstand ... it will shift no problem at all. But when i ride it and put a load on the crank... it willnot shift up... just rubs aginst the big chain ring and will not shift up... yes i am holding the shifter in while it is trying to engage. So, i take it to the bike shop and they are having similiar problems... actaully they are having the SAME problems... Have moved teh FD up and down on the tube thinking maybe the height was off. They mentioned that since i have an FSA crank and shimano derailures, that sometimes the diff brands will have some descrepencies working together, and that it will just take making minor adjustments until the FD is in the perfect spot. Does that sound right? i have never had a problem like this, My specialized (Spec crank, and shimano Del) never had this problem. HELP!

well, if I had this problem on one of my humble bicycles, I'd overcompensate a bit when tightening the cable. but then, I don't run index shifters on a fd.

Maybe and sometimes, but usually different brands work ok together. I think FSA was having a problem with some of their rings in some applications...Check with them.

LBS has it adjusted... they said they had to tweak the rotation on the cage and adjust the H and L screws... and it finally worked out. I put in a call to FSA, but who knows if they will contact me back. I will update everyone if i here anything. Thanks

ok.. here is the latest. so i get it back from the shop and it still wont shift. To bad, i can't leave it.. gotta get home. So i get her home and trow it up on the stand.. i notice the deral' is too low and is rubbing the cage on the front chainring... so i losten it up and move it up a touch.. looking good so far but still won't catch on the big chainring and shift up.. i went through and set the H and L stop and blah blah blah. Still nothing. but it will shift on the stand no problem. so i thought.. .hmmm maybe i am putting to much stress on the crank whilst i try to shift? Never heard of that being a problem.. so i get going and mash in the shifter lever, and instead of pedaling strong, i just let the crank turn slow and mostly on its own with little help from me... and walla .. it shifts up... it just seems weird that i have to pedal real soft to get it to shift...

Does this sound right... ? I would not think duraace shifters would be that diff... any suggestions as to why i have to pedal soft to get it to shift.. maybe the stress is tweeking the chairing a bit? Anyways... it works for the time being.
