Is 2k the brand?
You can get it on ePay for about $20 or here's a link to a company that sells it. http://www.repaintsupply.com/sprayma...oat-p3685.html |
Hobby shop clear enamel for plastic cars. It is tough, easy to apply (because of the fine-spray nozzle) and lasts well.

Not to start an argument, but the Testor's enamel cans are single stage, soft and will yellow over time. This from a model builder for many years..... IT will not hold a candle in asthetics, durability or longevity to 2 part urethane.

Thanks guys. I appreciate the advice. I do not have a spraygun though. Will go ask local shops.

The SprayMax Glamour 2K clear I mentioned comes in a Spray Can. There is a pin in the bottom of the can that you use to release the hardener. Then you spray it like any other spray paint. It hardens in 12 hours. I just used it to do a frame and got great results. Like I said though, you'll need a respirator.

Don't take this advice lightly. The iso-cyanates in 2k urethane are nasty business. Respirator, goggles, gloves, and lots of ventilation. Do it right and the results are superb. I clearcoated a frame with Spraymax 2K and so far it's held up to two years of daily commuting in the Florida sun and rain and still looks great.
