Hello!

I'm trying to get new pads for this brake, and wondering what kind of this brake is?

and are there any specific sizes for this brake type or could I just go to rei or lbs and get pads for this type of brake?

Looks like a standard linear pull or more commonly know as a Vee Brake or V brake. Walmart or any place that sells bike parts will have what you need. Bring an old pad with you to match it. Roger

Or get a better compound, pad .. made to not wear down your Rim so fast (as cheap ones) .. at a Bike Shop

Kool Stop International - High Performance Bicycle Brake Pads Since 1977 I like the all salmon Ones
