Reviving my oldish mountain bike

Hi guys! First of all, I am a total noob in biking mechanics. But I do like to tinker by nature. I have this mountain bike, it is a genesis sigma. This model:

Now, I have basically used it for years without doing much maintenance on it, beside occasional oiling and light cleaning. I know, feel free to hang me on a cross for not maintaining it.

So, here is what is broken/not working properly:

1) Back wheel is not symmetrical anymore and the back of the bike has gone from light shaking to pretty annoying wobble that goes through the frame.

2) Front fork is completely borked. I mean, it moves up and down just a bit, it is hella squeaky and does not do much actual dampening.

3) I got some rattling/grinding noise coming from the mechanism between the pedals. Applying oil helps for a few weeks, but then it comes back

3) Back tyre is pretty much left without any profile.

So, I am kind of contemplating how should I go about fixing those things. I generally like the frame and I like to repair my things as long as I can. I use the bike exclusively for the city. No offroading at all.

With this in mind, what is the cheapest repair process for me? I live in Austria and I got most of the tools needed to take a bike apart.

I would appreciate any kind of input/help.

Cheapest approach is to take it all apart then compile a list of needed parts and then get the parts and then put it all back together. Or just go out and buy a used but far better condition bike.

1- have you checked for either a broken axle or collapsed hub cup?

2- This very low cost fork is likely to have no replacement parts available. Either live with I or replace, a rigid fork will be cheaper.

3- Sounds like the BB is in need of service or replacement.

3- Replace rear tire. Andy.

Wenn man schmiert es nicht, dann funtzioniert es nicht. If the bottom bracket (the part between the pedals) has ball bearings, it must be disassembled and greased, not oiled. Since you were able to get oil into it, it may not be a sealed unit. Sealed units can only be replaced, not serviced.
