Top or bottom swing???

When referring to front derailleurs, what is meant by this? Obviously, top pull and bottom pull is self explanatory - but what does top (or bottom) swing mean?

The terms top and bottom swing refer to where the derailleur cage pivots in relation to the seat tube clamp. On a bottom swing derailleur, the pivot and cage come down from the clamp and are completely below the clamp. These are often used and useful on full suspension frames where there might be a suspenion pivot directly above the bottom bracket that interupts the seat tube and makes it impossible to mount a derialleur any lower. A top swing derailleur pivots from above the clamp.
