Carbon handlebar repair
Hey guys I have this set of easton ec90 carbon bars and you can see the cracks next to the start of the drop. Just wondering if these are repairable. No worries if they are not they are just some a buddy have to me when he was cleaning out some of his parts stash. I wanted to find out so I could decide to fix them or chunk them.

Having watched a few riding friends break their bars while riding I don't think I'd ride those bars any longer. If you must repair them I'd suggest that you contract to someone with a lot more carbon repair experience then most who will be reading this have. Andy.

Both the carbon bars I bought early in 2015 had "manuals" recommending replacement of the bar after 3 yrs use. Kind of stunning,
about $6-7/month cost just for the bar.
As for the OP bar, I would toss in a heart beat. Broken bar not as bad as fork break at the bottom of the headtube, but close:
near instant face plant.

Does it do that or is it superficial?

When you dispose of them please wreck them so some unsuspecting person doesn't see them and try to use them. The shops i worked at did that with bad parts and I do it with any bad parts I huck out.
Cheers
