Shimano 6500 bottom bracket lock-ring help

I have a Shimano BB-6500 bottom bracket, and I'm unable to remove the lock ring with any of the tools that I have! The Park HCW-5 and that doesn't fit at all, but I don't see any other model that appears to fit.

Thanks!

There is no lockring on a cartridge bottom bracket cup. You need a tool like this one.

Bottom Bracket Tool | Park Tool & Bottom Bracket

The lock-ring you are trying to remove with your park tool has an internal spline. Use the tool the above poster suggested.

I'm sorry, they don't call it a lockring, they call it a "Left-Hand Adapter," which appears to require an "Adaptor Removal Tool" (which looks suspiciously similar to the Park BBT-22 ref'd above. I must confess, since it looked like a lock ring, I didn't even try using the BBT-22 on it.
