Rear shock sizing.

I need a rear shock for my gary fisher sugar4 with a blink set up. When I purchases the frame the rear shock was missing. I think I need a 6.5 in x 1.5". The 6.5 is the length and I presume the 1.5 is the travel. One thing I wonder about is the width were the pins go through to fasten the shock to the frame. Are these widths standard or do I have to specify them too when ordering a new one?
