BB Compatibility Question

My wife currently has a Mercier Elle from BD from a few years ago.

Save up to 60% off Road Bikes - Mercier Elle Women Specific road bikes

The current BB is described as "Sealed Cartridge, Square taper, 68x118mm". I'm wondering if I were to strip the group off this bike could I swap in a 5700 group with an english threaded BB from my bike without issue?

Transfer the BB with the Cranks.

That's the plan. I just don't know if the BB shell on the frame is compatible. All those different standards confuse me.

The 68mm BB is the giveaway. It is English threaded as are most bikes now.
