Old tires

What can i do with the old tires i took off my bike? Can they be recycled or just toss in the trash? They are dry rotted so they shouldnt be used on a bike. I asked at the place that put the new ones on and they werent sure.

I just throw them away. I don't think there's enough recoverable material to make recycling worthwhile, and I don't need more unused stuff hanging from the ceiling of the garage.

Me too. I'm all for recycling but not to the point that it becomes a code word for storing unused junk in my home.

I use sections of old tubulars as chainstay protectors.
