Campy BB question
Hello,
I just purchase a new Centaur bottom bracket, I have not installed it yet. When I turn the spindle it feels a little stiff and slightly notchy, ( I am comparing this to a old Sugino BB that I have that is incredibly smooth by comparison. Is this because it's new, is there a 'breaking in' period? Or is something not right?
Thanks

It's normal for a new cartridge bottom bracket to feel a little stiff or sluggish. Supposedly it has something to do with friction from bearing seals. It's noticeable when you turn by hand, but inconsequential when pedaling.

Thanks! that's what I was hoping it would be.
