Specialized Pizza Rack

I am immensely confused about the installation procedure of the pizza rack that I've got through the specialized online website.

I have been trying to fit it and followed the assembly instructions in the outside part of the box but it does not seem to fit my bike, a 2017 Awol.

If you look at the attached pictures I installed the "triangles" in the outer part of the frame as explained in the picture on the box. But they end up so far from the fork to actually use them to attach the rack to the fork, so I really don't know what to do.

There is not much info in the internet about the installation of this rack but found some pictures of a guy who actually installed the "triangles" in the inter part of the rack and he managed to install it like that. I tried the same but then the rack ends up in a position that the bolts that attach the rack to the front part of the fork do not align properly.

So yeah, I am lost and a bit disappointed that this has been so difficult. I thought being a product from the same brand it would be almost plug and play kind of thing, but it was far from it.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Bikes: Catrike 559 I own some others but they don't get ridden very much.

If you think that it's hard to figure out with both the bike and the rack with all it's separate parts where you can see them, you ought to try figuring it out from a bunch of photos that aren't even in the proper up orientation.

Skip the triangle part. That's an adapter for other brands. Not needed for your AWOL.

That pizza rack comes with the Awol Evo I think, the one I got has 2 holes for the bolts as you can see. By the way if I take out the triangle thing, the bolts do not go all the way through the rack hole to the fork, so they cannot be used to attach the rack directly to the fork. It is really weird actually.

Also I don't understand why the thingy that holds the rack to the top part of the fork is not horizontal as you can see in the first pic, it goes down so the rack also sits inclined. Is it maybe that they just put the wrong bits in the box?

Take your project to your bike shop where you bought it. if they were short parts they can fix things.

Like every bike, your headtube is at an angle. The fork crown attachment is angled so that the rack rests flat when you do it right.
