Accushift Shifter cables all the same?

Recently bought a ’92 Giant Iguana. Started restoring it last night it by rebuilding the headset. So I cut the shifter cables to remove the stem, since I am also going to replace the cables. Was researching just now at lunch the Suntour Accushift components and am reading about the cables being “unique”. So I have one question (for now): Are all Suntour Accushift cables the same? Thumb shifter, down tube shifters, etc…

The bike has Suntour Accushift friction thumb shifters and XCM 3040 derailleurs. As soon as I get home I’ll take a look at the cable ends but was wondering if anyone knows off-hand. Thank you.
