Need Advice on changing shifters

2004 Trek 7100
Shifters:
SRAM ESP 3.0
Front derailleur:
Shimano C102
Rear derailleur:
SRAM ESP 3.0
Crank:
SR NEX200 48/38/28
Cassette:
SunRace 13-34, 7 speed

What rapid fire shifters do i need to order? thanks

Or...

Would it be easier to just change out the rear derailleur and shift at same time?

I don't think a Shimano Rapid Fire shifter will work with a SRAM RD.
If you want to go to trigger shifters, SRAM 7-sp triggers that are numbered, not named, should work.

Correct. Shimano shifters are only compatible with Shimano compatible ders. ESP is SRAM spec. So to use Shimano shifters will also require a Shimano compatible rear der. Andy
