Problem with the front gear wheel

Wow, ok I obviously know nothing about fixing a bike and what all the parts are called, because im sure there there is a better name than front gear wheel thingy...
Anyways, I've had this bike for maybe 6 or 7 years, last couple years i didnt use it much, and this year i started using it a couple of times a day. Anyways, i got it tuned up and it feels like an entirely new bike. Its fantastic, but about a week after i got it back, it started making this weird clicking noise...and just today its gotten noticably worse.
When ever i put alot of pressure on the the pedals, especially if i were to stand up, its like this metalic clicky grinding sort of sound, it usually just clicks a couple of times, but if i were to pedal standing up it would be a constant. And i can feel it slightly on the pedals, but its hard for me to tell what is going on. When i got home i spun the pedals, and the wheel seems like it may be moving a little bit. Im unsure if its actually bent, or maybe if it has just not been put in perfectly straight, so maybe the pressure is causing the gear shifter to hit some of the chain or the actual front gear wheel...
Have any of you experienced a problem like this, could it be an easy fix, something for me to start learning, or should I just take it back to where it was tuned up?

Don't know much about derailleurs, but I'd probably take it back to where it was worked on. Not that I'd trust them all that much, but I'd guess that the shifter cable pulled out a little bit after being adjusted. Which would mean that they didn't tighten it right...

Which I guess would mean that it might be better to take it somewhere else. But the shop you took it to would probably do it for free, if it was their fault that it pulled out...

Your guess sounds pretty good.
You may be flexing the frame during standing and rubbing the chain on the front derailleur (gear shifter), it happens sometimes. Try triming the front derailleur. Just move it over a hair if it's close to the chain on one side.
It may be that the front sprocket is now slightly bent and it only does it when the bent part goes by the derailleur. Check the bolts holding the chain rings (front sprockets ) on.
