Shimano Tourney
I have a Schwinn bike with the Shimano Tourney RD-TX31, which is discontinued. What would be a replacement that would a replacement without any problems?

Tourney rear derailleurs have changed a little over the years but, so far as I know, functionally they are pretty basic and consequently interchangable.
The biggest difference is they come in 2 versions: One has a claw that attaches to the rear axle, the other has a bolt that attaches to a derailleur hanger arm that is part of the bike frame. When ordering it's important to know which one you need. Lower end bikes tend to use the claw attachment. There aren't very many other derailleurs that come with a claw.
