Boeshield T9 in the plastic bottle. Apply, let it dry. When it comes back dirty, apply, wipe chain, apply more, let it dry.

This has been working great for me in Florida where we have sand with a lot of silt in it and shell instead of gravel roads. My black bikes come back light gray after a ride and wet lubes produce an abrasive slurry and gunk that builds up on chainrings and jockey wheels. The Boeshield has been a serious time-saver for me. Not as dry as a pure wax job but holds up better.

It worked fine on the ride. I brought the bottle with me and didn't need to reapply, although I'm going to reapply before I go out again. And I "only" did 75 miles and 5500'. The roads I were on weren't worth the effort of continuing and actually looked dangerous to ride once I was in the car.

Based on the volume needed to lubricate a chain, it's really cost effective, and VERY good.
