Flat Bar Conversion on 2x10 Roadie w/Caliper Brakes

Just solved all the problems converting my disc touring 3x9 with bar ends, to flat bar (w/ Thumbies in friction mode). I may pickup a nearby 06 Specialized Roubaix Pro (carbon) for cheap.
This bike is exactly what I've been looking for, a carbon 2x10 with caliper rim brakes.

Can anyone chime in about the adaptability for flat bars in terms of shifters and brake levers / compatibility with the drivetrain and calipers? Thanks in advance!

There are Shimano Tiagra flat bar shifters for road derailleurs but depending on rear derailleur, if it is 10s you will need Tiagra 4600. NOT 4700 cause they have 11s pull ratio.
Also Microshift make these: https://www.google.es/amp/s/road.cc/...shifters%3famp

I don’t understand your question. You have the shifters worked out. Are you asking what levers to use with the road brake calipers?

Earlier, in a different thread, I worked out the shifters and levers on a touring bike where I used the bar end shifters into Paul Thumbies and I swapped the mechanical brake calipers coupled with V-brake levers. It worked out well.

This road bike will require quick, indexed shifting and it has road caliper brakes for which I will need usable levers. However, I may just experiment with the Soma Condor 2 bars and keep it all road/drop style...
Thanks for your help!

pauls comp canti lever,, Or most levers not made long pull for V brakes..

Euro market gets a Fitness bike parts group, essentially what you want...
thin , go fast road bike wheel , straight bar, hybrid.. short reach calipers like road bikes..

I'm using dialed back Avid speed dial levers with a short pull disc caliper ... not much lever swing at all ..

Pretty sure it means "cabbage" in Polish. Delicious.

I have understood it to mean cabbage or a prticular canbage dish. The relationship of my handle to the food is unclear.

Like so many others coming off the boat at Ellis Island in last years or the 19th century, my great great grandparents had their names butchered by some likely well-meaning processing agent who did not speak Polish. “Kapusta” must have sounded close enough to him to whatever they were telling him was their name. Maybe the guy knew about the food when he wrote down “Kapusta”, maybe not. Honest attempt or mischieviois prank? We’ll never know.

My grandfather changed his last name to something entirely different in the 30s (in what was essentially another translation mishap). But I get a kick out of “Kapusta”, so I use it.
