First Of All Do You Have A One Piece American Steel Crank Or A 3 Piece Cotterless . Is This A Bmx Bike Or A Mountian Bike.?i'm Assuming That Because Of Your Name That This Is A One Piece Crank. The Creak Could Be Coming From Loose Fitting Bearing Races. Remove Your Pedals , then Remove Lock Nut, Lock Ring , Remove Inner Cone, Bearing Cage, and Remove THE Crank Arm Out The Left Side.
Using Solvent (kerosene) Thoroughly Clean The Bottom Bracket.
Now Is The Time To Check Your Bearing Races. Are They Lose, Do They Spin Around FREELY IN THE BB SHELL? Lighty Tap Them Out And Reinstall With Plumbers Tape Between The Bb Shell And The Races.
Next, Clean, In Solvent, Your Cone And Bearings. Reinstall Bearings , Cone, Lock Ring And Lock Nut With A Good Waterproof Grease,(Phil Wood) And Adjust The Tension With No end Play Or Lost Motion. Now, Lets Move On To The Pedals, They Could Also Be The Cause Of The Noise. Repack And Test.
Good Luck

Don't overlook the pedals. I thought I had a crank problem that turned out to be a pedal going bad. If not it is lbs time for adjustment or replacement. Really work those pedals over though, lift, twist, push, pull from all directions. For me it was a relief and much cheaper than a bb.
