Anybody gone from 6800 (tall) to 8000 (short) FD??? (or DA/105 equivalent?)
On one of my bikes the 6800 FD shifts quick as a lick on FSA K-light cranks.
The other 6800 FD shifts on Ultegra cranks like a clanking slow-moving mess. (I've swapped 3 different 6800 FD's amongst both bikes & it's just the Ultegra cranks)
Was thinking maybe if I throw an 8000 FD on there with it's short little body, maybe it'll be a quicker/snappier shift???
Wondered if anybody else did the same & noticed a difference. (Or DA or 105)
TIA

Viich,
Interesting, I thought 5700/5800 were more similar. But in this case, for you it would be like going to the 7000 or there was (for a while anyway) an FD-5801 that was one of the new short-body style.
Just sounds like the new FD's shift pretty quickly & even more easily by comparison. (shrug)
