Headset Recommendation?

I will be needing a new headset for one of my Long Haul Trucker touring bikes. In the past I have used Cane Creek units. Just wondering if I wanted to move up in quality what might be a good choice?
The CC has been fine but just ruminating!
Thanks!

Having used Chris King, FSA and many others, the Cane Creek headsets are more than good, they are really good and have never given me any trouble.

+1 for the Cane Creek headsets, the 40 series is excellent for the price. I've had ok results with a couple of FSA headsets. I've had excellent service from a Chris King but it's awfully pricy. Velo Orange's Gran Cru headsets are also excellent at a mid-price point and have a split "crown race" so installation is requires no tools.

Cane Creek.

Get the 40 series for value, the 110 series if you want the best.

Well, the CC 110-series headsets are certainly top quality but are as expensive or more expensive than a Chris King and the Chris King has more snob-appeal. If you are going to spend that much on a headset, the King will impress your friends more.

Well, I am not looking to impress anyone. So the Series 40 sounds fine.
