Tire Sizing Question

Hey all trying to make sure I'm looking at the right size tires. Looking to put more of a road tire on an MTB to use until I lose enough weight that I'm not compressing the tires so much on my road bike (currently ~350 lbs)
The MTB currently has a 56-622 (29 x 2.3). So that would be a 56mm 700C equivalent correct? So something like this should work? It appears. to be the closest I'm seeing
Found a Kenda K1052 Kwick Nine 29 Inch Reflective Tire 29x2.2 (55mm) on biketiresdirect dot com. Will that 1mm make a difference?
(tried to post a picture but b/c newb)

Thanks. I welcome other suggestions

1mm in tire width is a small amount, especially with a 2"+ casing width. That's 2%. Not much unless there's other not stated issues going on.

Rim width is one not stated spec. But there's a wide range of tire widths that fit any one rim. I aim for rounded side walls with my rim/tire matches. So a 3" tire is best on a wider rim then a 2" does and so forth.

Also know that the spec rim a tire is designed to fit to then match the labeled sizes is not what anyone rides with. So the whole labeled tire sizing is somewhat arbitrary, to the public. One brand's labeled 2.2 might be wider than another company's 2.1 on the same rim. So don't sweat the 1mm differences unless you're already at the limits for rim fit or frame clearances. Andy

I run a 26X 1.25" (32mm) tire on a rim that would handle 2.2" fine. It could go a bit smaller, but no point.
There's a LOT of leeway as long as you stay away from the extreme rim tire mismatches. Like putting your 29'r tires on a 13mm wide rim.
