Pedal Traction Pins + Vibra-Tite VC-3?
The traction pins / grub screws / set screws on my flat pedals have an annoying tendency to readjust themselves (screwing themselves deeper into the pedal body) over the course of a couple months. This is the state of affairs using “blue” Loctite.
I recently stumbled upon Vibra-Tite VC-3 on the web. Apparently, it is a gooey, resinous, non-curing alternative to traditional threadlocker. Would anyone recommend I get a tube or bottle of the stuff to try on my wandering pedal pins? The reusable/non-curing nature of VC-3 sounds like it would be a real plus in allowing for readjusting and fine-tuning pedal pin heights.
I’m wide open to alternative suggestions, of course. Thanks!

When you say that this is the state of affairs for blue Loctite , are you saying that the pins are wandering WITH blue Loctite?
If so, I don’t think that any other option is going to help, you likely have pins that are not matched to your pedals.
If you are currently using no thread locker and want something less aggressive than blue, I would try Loctite 222 (purple). If the product that you found is gooey, it isn’t going to wick into threads well, which Loctite does better than other brands I have tried.

Vibra-Tite is good for its purpose but if blue Loctite doesn't hold them Vibra-Tite will not either.

I bought a pair of peddles with those set screws......came with 2 different lengths. I assumed that you screwed them in all the way..... why would one expect them to stay put when not screwed down all the way?
