6207 Front Derailleur with 5700 STI?
I'm having trouble finding a reasonably priced 5700 FD to go with my new 5700 levers and want to use a 6207 (from a 6 speed group) front derailleur while I look. Will it work ok?

Only if you use a friction shifter. The 6207 cage is wider, to work with 5-7 speed chains, and the pull rate will likely be different. 10-speed derailleurs from the 5600-6600-7600 and Tiagra 4600 will work.

I've had really good luck w/ a bead head nymph on a dry-dropper set up sometimes, I'd give it a try I totally agree about road tubeless, it's useless...mountain bikes are another story!

These older FDs were designed for a lot of cable pull, as evidenced by the longer arm for the cable attachment point. Newer levers usually don't pull enough cable to move these FD cages for proper shifting.
If you do try to use an older FD and can't get enough movement, you can try to route the cable on the opposite side of the bolt from its standard point. This should increase the cage movement and may help. The FD-6401 instructed you to do this when converting from downtube shifters to STI shifters.
Good luck.

What's a reasonable price? Brand new FD-5700 and FD-4700 DR's are all over the internet for a little more the 30 USD. If you are a little patient and watch several sites you might find them with sale going on and maybe free shipping.
