hybrid threaded/threadless headset
I learned of the existence of this headset, and I'm not sure I see the point. What are the applications?

everything about it says threaded except the drawing.
Can't imagine a use for a threaded threadless headset.

FSA Duron
looks like a really nice headset with sealed cartridge bearings for older bikes that use a 1" threaded fork.
FSA's documentation labels it threadless. I am confused as well.
I've seen some forks that use a 1" threaded steerer for the headset, then the top is smooth for a 1" threadless stem to clamp on. that's the only thing that makes sense.

Along with the other posters IMO this looks like some kind of mistake by the seller or an attempt to deceive buyers that they can convert their threaded setup to thread less with this headset and nothing else needed. The included star nut is useless. Just reported to Amazon that the photos in the ad are incorrect.

FSA says it's a threaded headset. Someone just drew it up on the wrong template that was intended for threadless. Or they had a brain fart when the labeled it.

Don't know how anyone can say that the seller is deceptive. The sellers title and other stuff say threaded. It's FSA's mistake apparently on the drawing that was likely provided by FSA.

I think it's an honest but negligent mistake by the seller. selling that product to confused customers will just result in the hassle of accepting returns. FSA didn't help the situation by labeling it incorrectly on the drawings. it's likely that the person who posted this item is only vaguely aware of what a headset is.

So now those people ordering this won't have a star nut to put in their spares bin for the time they might need it for a bike thread less headset. I actually thought it was good of the seller to include that even if it wasn't needed. They too were probably confused by FSA's mistake and just thought they were adding value to the purchase by adding inexpensive things to the offer.
Not every seller can be expected to know everything about what they are selling. Though we wish they did.

Well I guess it could be useful to an armless rider who steers only with their butt. Rather than inserting a stem, they could put the stem cap in to make it all look neat.
