Nexus 7 misaligned badly, can't shift into 5 6 or 7 after wheel removal

Hello all, i am working on an old electric bike from early 2000s, very well built. It uses a Shimano 7 internal gear hub and uses the following method to get the shifting cable connected to the hub. When i removed the wheel to put on a new motor chain, i think i misaligned or reinstalled this element with the nut wrong. The shifting worked fine before i took the wheel off, and now the shifting is super tight and i cant get it higher than gear 5. I feel like when i tried getting the 2 chains back on my bike, the bike chain sat on this connecting hub piece and moved it out of place. Now it's almost imposible for me to pull the tab down for me to easily remove the nut that is attached to the cable. Normally there is a place to put allen wrench to lower the connector piece but even before i removed the wheel i did not see that place to put allen key or screw driver so i had to pull it back by hand, and it's very very tight and hard to do. Right now i'm stuck here not able to pull out the connecting cable, it's all way too tight.

Also in 4th gear the red lines are like 1/8 inch away so obviously misaligned. I'm pretty stuck here, i would post pictures but i can not yet due to low post rule.

Check to see that the shift cable housing is properly seated at both the shifter and cassette joint. It is very easy to have it come dislodged during the process of wheel removal and if it catches on the lip of the barrel adjuster, the cable adjustment will be off.
Also ensure that the cable is routed properly on the cassette joint capstan. If it is not sitting in the grove, again, the adjustment will be off.
