Etap shifting issues

I am running SRAM etap 11 speed hydro on my bike and today during my warmup ride I did something I usually never do...I shifted to the small ring! When I tried to shift back to the big ring I heard the electronic engagement sound but it the chain would not move to the big ring. It lifted slightly and just stayed on the small ring. Forgive my novice experience, I’m just simply looking for tips on what I can do to solve the issue myself before bringing to my LBS. I appreciate any feedback.

Bikes: not enough

if the unit physically trying to move and the chain is not catching or is it not moving and just making sounds. Hope its the former, maybe it just needs adjusting.

that fd is discontinued and used units are going for more then retail on ebay.. good luck.

when I ran etap11 it was really picky setup wise (sadly the axs I am running now is the same)

but that's good news, maybe just needs adjusting. Was the bolt not tight or anything.

^This is the only thing I can think of^. Did the derailleur move...is it a braze-on or clamp?

I highly recommend the SRAM tool for FR installation. It is a small plastic thingy that ensures DR is at the right angle and height. I had numerous chain drops after buying my bike from LBS. After using the tool the drops stopped.
