Anybody having problems with the XTR series O ring type seal working it's way out of the pedal?

Nope. 20,000km combined on 3 sets, zero issues. Though I have relubed them occasionally, for prevention since I regularly ride in crappy conditions...it rains a lot in Belgium.

When I re-lubed my pedals for the first time, the seal was useless. I ignored it and have been pedaling on those same pedals for 10 years.
Sure a little lube leaks out at first. But it's not much and not for long. And if you realize how far up in the pedal body the bearings are, sand and grit will seldom be an issue. Especially if you clean and re-lube them every five years or so.
Of course my pedals are only $35 pd-a520's.
