Replacement 700 Rear Wheel Selection for Cannondale Quick4 Hybrid

The original wheel on my wife's 2014 Quick 4 is beyond used up. I only noticed just how bad it was yesterday when I saw that the inner and outer sections of the wheel were mostly worn through. The bike is now "quarantined" until I replace the wheel. Here's the specs on the original wheel.
  • Brand: Xero
  • Model: Element CXR 330
  • Material: Alloy
  • Size: 700c
  • Brake Type: Rim
  • Tire Type: Clincher
  • Mounting Type: Quick release (skewers not included)
  • Width: 21.8 (external), 15.8mm (internal)
  • Depth: 23.2mm
  • Speed: 8-10 Speed, Shimano/SRAM compatible
  • Spokes: 24 [F], 28 [R]
  • Spacing: 100mm [F], 130mm [R]
  • Weight: 2,300g

Having tried my hand at building a wheel myself (I failed), I'm looking for a reasonably price built wheel. I have the tools to move the cassette over - that's easy enough. Obviously the basics have to be matched - 700c wheel with rim braking and 130mm spacing - but I'm wondering how close I need to be on the rim width - it's a 32 tire.

Appreciate any insight and/or specific recommendations.

Pretty much any low-cost replacement wheel will work. Rim width for a 32 mm tire is not an issue. If you get a wider rim, the tire won't care though it may measure a bit wider once installed. With a narrower rim the tire will be a bit more "light bulb" shaped but still not an issue. Bike shops and online shops typically have a selection of wheels to fit the bill.
