Did Suntour ever make French or Italian threaded freewheels? If yes, are there any markings on the freewheel body to indicate the threading?

I know some Euro makers did offer freewheels in different threading and sometimes cut a slight groove on the freewheel body and the hubs.

Most French mass market bikes destined for sale in the USA during the bike boom came with 27" wheels with English specs.

Oui. Took quite a bit of searching. Still looking for Italian examples.

Never heard of SunTour brand Italian-threaded freewheels but have had a couple of French/Metric and may still have one. Some only have a single small M Where that ^ one has the numbers.

Since Itl and Eng are pretty much interchangeable (difference of 55* VS 60* thread angle) and SunTour was more focused on the US market (that both French and Brit brands did a lot of export to) I find it no surprise that they didn't offer any Itl spec freewheels. Andy
