Can I get a Bontrager Fork put on by a bike shop that's not a Trek dealer

I believe I might have a crack in my Bontrager Race Fork on one of the carbon legs. I'm going to take it into a shop tomorrow but I was wondering if I have to go to a Trek dealer? If I do need it replaced I'd like to get a replacement of the original fork but I think it's been discontinued so it'll have to be ordered from Trek, would that be possible at any lbs or do they have to be a Trek dealer?

Yes, if you want a Trek fork it has to come from a Trek dealer.

At risk of stating something you might already know, Bontrager is owned by Trek, so if you want it possibly warrantied (or even just replaced with the same fork), you would want to do that.

There are other good makers of all-carbon road forks like Enve and Columbus so you could have any dealer order and install one of them. If you want to replace the OEM fork exactly then you have to go through your Trek dealer.

For Trek parts you need to go a Trek dealer but you can get a fork from any shop it just won't be a Trek fork and they won't offer you warranty for your Trek product unless it is a Trek dealer.
