SRAM 1 x 11 Apex - what can I upgrade?

Hi, I have a hybrid bike that was fitted with SRAM 1 x 11 Apex gears, is it possible to upgrade piece meal to Rival or would I have to do it all in one go?

I love the bike but it feels as though the gear change (it is over 2.5 years old now) is less than it used to be. I had the bike professionally serviced 6 months ago and the bottom bracket was replaced and the gear change felt better for awhile but I am now looking for upgrades.

If it is possible to do it bit by bit what should I upgrade first?

I am no professional bike wrench, but i presume, if you were to upgrade to higher tier groupsets, cable pull for th RD and FD could be an issue.
As i am not terribly familiar with Sram, i recon if you were to go from Tiagra to 105, i guess you could exchange the parts piecemeal style (keeping the rd capacity in mind). Crankset should be no prob though, as long as the chainline stays the same.

2.5 y.o. bike should be like new unless you've ridden it 25,000 miles.

Perhaps it's still just a little out of adjustment. Or maybe you just are more experienced now and are perceiving some of the bikes deficiencies.

I'd replace everything at the same time. Including the bike! <grin>

Welcome to BF!
