Measurement of a Park Pro Double base?
Hello! I finally found a suitable pics of schedule 80 pipe to build a double stand and I was hoping someone could take a measurement for me?
Specifically I am looking for the size of the horizontal cross tube on a Park Pro double as shown in the picture. I have 24” to work with and estimated it to be around 12”, but if someone has access to a Pro Stand and could take a quick measurement, I’d be grateful! Thanks! https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...535aa4787.jpeg |
The two old PRs-2s I have measure within 1/8" of 12".
I suggest a base that is wider than 24". Andy |
Thanks, Andrew! I’ll be sure to make the base at least that wide, but I might just bolt it down.
Thank you again. |
Wide heavy base and bolting it down is not a bad idea. For the Electric lift stands we have two plates for most of them. When working I want the most stable platform possible so if I have two mechanics working it won't wobble or fall on anyone or damage bikes. I don't have one at home but I can measure at the shop if you need more accurate but I think Andrew R Stewart got you well sorted as usual : )

Thank you again. Figure you need about 1 foot for either through bolting on a wooden floor or using solid anchors in concrete. |
