Feimin B908N bracket
I cannot find a Feimin FP-B908N bracket which is used on my Scott Sub 40. Does anyone know of a replacement?
Thanks

I had no idea what the heck that was, glad you provided no info and I have decent google skills. Most any JIS square taper bottom bracket in the correct length would work. Shimano makes the UN-300 or IRD makes a bunch of them in the QB series (I like the QB-95 personally) but there are a number of replacements out there from various manufacturers and your local shop can help you with it.

Thanks for the reply and sorry about the lack of info. This is the first time I have needed to tear into the lower bracket and I'm learning a lot along the way. Looks like forget about Fiemin and look into Shimano and the UN-300. I just need to measure the length of the bracket to get the right part.
Thanks again,
joe

Just measure twice and you should be set or if you pull the old B.B. which you will need to do anyway, it might have the actual measurements on it.
Happy to help! Good luck with everything : )

I used to use F.A.G. plastic bottom brackets, never had a problem with them. I've also had some Shimano? bearings with a plastic NDS cup that were a bit fragile to work with but functioned just fine. As long as the threads in the frame are good (and you grease them) I wouldn't worry about plastic cups.
