Saul, this is what I was trying to get across, that you needed to turn the bars, rotate the bars, to get them through the stern.
Well, now you understand!
We all went through this at one point and learned.

What dedhed posted. It isn't rocket science. Spread the clamp slightly to get past the reinforcement, then turn the bar as you remove it so the outside of the bend is is always on the wide side.
