Sram I-Motion 9 speed IGH skipping in 4th gear

Need help! I just serviced a Sram I-Motion 9 (clean and re-lube internals) and cannot seem to find the sweet spot on the barrel adjuster for smooth running. 3 & 5 thru 9 are smooth as silk but 4th is terrible. It makes a skipping sound and also feels like it's skipping. I've run the barrel adjuster to the extremes in both directions trying to find the sweet spot. Anybody experience this with their internal geared hub? Tom

I'd recheck the servicing for any wear, nicks or even a tiny piece of grit that might be causing the problem

Serviced 2 internal hubs (not sram) but never encountered the problem. A 3rd one had extreme wear so we replaced it
