Collective c100 v3 frame. What size forks and headset?
Hi all,
I'm a beginner at bike building. I have a Collective C100 v3 frame with a tapered headtube. When I Google the specs for the frame it states "1.1/8 - ZS55/40 Tapered head tube to allow for fitment of all fork types". Does this mean it will take a 1.5" tapered fork steerer?
Does the 1.1/8 represent the diameter of the headtube and is it 29mm? If so, is it the top or the bottom?
You can guess I'm confused!
Thanks
PJ

that's a standard.Cane Creek 40 headset. Very common.
can you measure your fork steerer accurately?
if so, you will have all the info you need.
the 40 and 55 are the IDs of your frame's head tube.
"ZS" stands for "Zero Stack", also known as a "Semi-integrated" headset, IIRC
there are headset kits that allow using a straight steerer fork in a tapered head tube, but they are not common in a "new install" situation....
