BB92 Alternative

I have a 2021 Salsa Cutthroat 600 that has a Press Fit BB92, 41 x 92 mm BB and the bearings are feeling rough. This bike has a Race Face Ride double crank with 24mm spindle diameter.

I'd like to get the BB replaced but I'm wondering if there is an alternative to the BB92 press fit?

I found nothing on here, but during my internet search it seems that a Wheels Manufacturing BB86/92 will work.
I'm just wanting to confirm and opinions.

Why am I not going with another BB92? Well, although I have had no issue with creaking on this press fit BB, I hear it often happens with press fit, so I'd like to avoid that. As well, with a thread together I have to tools to install.

Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't mess with it if there's no major problem.

however, I HAVE seen where someone had threads cut into the BB92 which would make it a BSA 43 and now have a threaded BB

From what I understand, when you replace the bearings on a press fit, you likely need to replace the cups as well. So I'd have to buy a whole new BB anyway.

Yes, the one linked seems a good choice but it wouldn't hurt to contact them and verify. As you know, many manufacturers are moving on from press fit and some are using these threaded systems as an interim until they can re-tool.

Bikes: Too many. Giant Trance X 29, Surly Midnight Special get the most time.

BB creak on PF systems is mostly a problem of poor tolerances, so if it’s been creak free you don’t need a special BB.

You can also have a good shop ream/face your BB if you want extra piece of mind.

That said, if you’re really worried about it, https://www.bbinfinite.com/products/...30090654056507 is the best. This is because machining a single piece has higher tolerances than any threaded assembly can. (With all the examples ceramic is probably a poor use of money, the steel version is 175, not 300)

The wheels bb is fine and is easier to install, but again not my top pick. You linked to the right one.
