SON dynamo repair

The charging spade on my SON dynamo broke off. Any advice on how to repair this would be appreciated. The hub is less than one year old. Thanks in advance.

I would start here: SON Repairs and Guarantee
Also Peter White Cycles carries SON hubs and may be able to help.

EDIT: Photos?

Heh... too bad it's not one of the early Dahon "Joule" hubs (made by Sanyo). You might get some ideas HERE. :innocent:

Not sure what happened here

That's not likely to be a do-it-yourself repair.
Might be covered under warranty... worth a try.

Yeah, I am definitely going to have to send it in. I hopefully if can be repaired.

Is that black 'spacer' holding the spade contacts plastic ?
If the missing contact was just ripped out, it might be possible to jam/glue another (suitably modified) spade into the hole and achieve contact with whatever wire/conductor is below.
I'd check for continuity between the surviving contact and inside the hole before doing anything permanent.

The spacer is plastic. Thanks for the suggestions. I plan on calling Peter White tomorrow as well.
