Brake Pad ID

I want to have some spare brake pads on hand for my Mongoose Elroy. The brakes have no branding on them and this is the only disc brake bike I've ever had. What do I need to look for in pads?

They're held in place with a magnet the size of a watch battery

Those look like the pads used in some Zoom calipers. Organic pads give more progressive feel, semi-metallic last longer.

Bikes: too many bikes from 1967 10s (5x2)Frejus to a Sumitomo Ti/Chorus aluminum 10s (10x2), plus one non-susp mtn bike I use as my commuter

Many of the sites, like Kool Stop, that sell pads, have pictures. Check there for a visual match.

Once you select for fit, then as noted above, decide on the material.

If still in doubt, visit a bike co-op where you can get proper help for a correct match.

Bikes: Foundry Chilkoot Ti W/Ultegra Di2, Salsa Timberjack Ti, Cinelli Mash Work RandoCross Fun Time Machine, 1x9 XT Parts Hybrid, Co-Motion Cascadia, Specialized Langster, Phil Wood Apple VeloXS Frame (w/DA 7400), R+M Supercharger2 Rohloff, Habanero Ti 26

Your local shop could help you ID if Kool Stop doesn't have the pads. I am guessing they are probably a low initial cost brake probably like a zoom or some other unbranded thing but your local shop should potentially be able to match it up with something.

For future reference, the pads are roughly 0.725in diameter.

I'm guessing the brakes may be these:
Promax DSK-330 flat mount, mechanical, aluminum, 160 mm rotor
They used them on the similar-looking Guide Sport model:

I'll try to remember to update this after I've tried some other pads in the brakes.

I think those have a longer locating arm, these are the type you want. But probably better to find KoolStop or similar brand.

They definitely have a longer locating arm, but I didn't have any luck finding anything identical. I'll check out your link. I already have some Avid BB5-compatible pads on the way, too.

The BB5 pads are significantly bigger than what I need, at about 0.930in diameter.

Jagwire-brand organic pads for Avid BB5 brakes. They're in cheap fiberglass calipers reading 0.930 inches.

I'll try ordering the Kool-Stop pads for Zoom from Wilier.

I scoured the internet far and wide trying to find this info for my trusty ol' Mongoose Elroy. Could not find the measurements for the brake pads anywhere, and most of the standard pads on Amazon were in the 0.9-0.93 in. range. Super annoying this info isn't readily available directly from Mongoose, but I guess that's where you all come in. THANK YOU THANK YOU, BikeForums community.
