Bikes: Subject to change at any given moment but currently is...... Colnago Mapei, Colnago C40, Wilier Triestina Carbon, Wilier Triestina Ramato, Follis 472, Peugeot PX60, Razesa, Orbea Terra, Soma Pescadero and 1/2 owner of a Santana tandem.

Is this going to cause a problem?

I noticed that when I back off my through axle bolt just a bit to more “snug” rather than “tight” tension, my wheel spins quite a bit more freely. Does that bolt need to be quite tight to provide any other stability functions or is what I’m doing ok ?

Problem solved

Disc brake housing was misaligned just enough that as the axle bolt was tightened it moved the rotor slightly against the pads.
