I'm rebuilding a pair of Campy Record hubs. I bought rebuild kits (cups, cones and seals) for them. The box says: Made in China. The inner plastic packaging says: Made in Italy. I'm guessing they were made in China.

Might have been made in Italy then packaged in China, I expect Campagnolo supplies parts to China for domestic consumption.
But that part number corresponds to bearings for Zonda/Eurus/Neutron/Bora hubs.

Same part # for Record OS hubs.

i've seen this same thing with pump rebuild kits for "Italian" made pressure washer pumps... the instructions say made in italy, the box says CHINA, clear as day.

i'd suspect the Italians don't want to mess with making small pieces if they don't have to....
those PW pumps fail quite often......... broken springs and cracked floater valves, mostly... both parts found in the Chinese kits..

Maybe a counterfeiter got caught, so they are putting a made in China label on the box?

You know, I didn't even think about asking Campy. I just shot them an email. I'll see what they say.
