It is not Swiss so I assume it is RH threaded.

LOL WELL That explains THAT! Not use to playing with English BB. Campy guy mostly. Still had to use an impact wrench to get it off using the SB method. The TA wrench lands are very thin.

Campy made lots and lots and lots of English BBs. Probably a lot more than Italian ones since the '80s.

French is right hand thread on both sides. English is left hand thread on the drive side, right hand on the NDS

Yours is a more modern TA bottom bracket, with the thread spec explicitly indicated: "BSC 1.37 x 24", so English thread, fixed cup loosens clockwise. This is the old style, with the inscribed rings:
