Thinning jb weld?

Is there any recommended way to thin jb weld epoxy (ie water, alcohol, acetone, gasoline, etc.) so that it will flow better into parts that won't compromise it's strength?

While I can't answer your question (I'd contact the manufacturer directly), let me ask you this: what are you trying to fix? Maybe we can suggest alternatives to JB Weld that might get you there more readily.....

The short answer is no. Most solvents will leave the epoxy feeling rubbery, and they leave big vapour tunnels in the structure. If you want to thin it, and a modest amount of heat won't work, just get some thin epoxy, contact say system III and get a sample pack.

JB weld doesnt have much strength to start with, compared to mild steel or aluminum. If you have an application, where you have to be concerned with structural integrity, you shouldnt be using JB weld.
