SRAM Force Bleed Issue - Help Appreciated !

New SRAM Force group. Brakes hoses came attached to levers and calipers. After cutting to fit to frame and routing internally, I'm in the process of bleeding them. I can't get fluid to pass through the lever (even disconnected the hose from the lever). I'm also noticing that both un-bled levers almost feel like they are "locked" into position, both are super firm and won't move much at all (again, despite being un-bled). I'm primarily a Shimano brake guy, I have bled SRAM brakes very occasionally, hoping I'm missing something obvious. I've followed the SRAM bleed YouTube video to a T. Thanks in advance - I'm so close to getting this build to the finish line!

Do they have plastic shipping blocks under the levers?
