Record 04 or 05?

Not sure if this was the right place to ask this question or not but here goes. I have the chance to purchase a bike in mint condition with Record components. The seller said it is a custom built Trek that he outfitted when he had it built with Record components. My question is, what changes (astatically or otherwise) were made between these 2 years in the components that would help me identify if this is a 2004 or 2005 model year bike/gruppo? Thanks in advance! Mark.

Aesthetically, the only difference is that the newer gruppos uses carbon fiber more liberally. There might be some mechanical improvements but I would bet they would be really hard or impossible to distinguish in actual use.
