If price wasn't the main point, what is the best "rolling" clincher tires. I usually ride Continental ultra2000s.

I'd like to know what some of your are riding. Anyone ride Continental Gran Prix 3000 foldings....?

When i wear out my IRC Triathalons, which mind you, suck at cornering, I will buy GP3000s

training- whatever is cheapest
racing- vittoria or axial pros

gp3k's sidewalls are too fragile and the tread wears out too fast.

Conti GP3000s. I try other tires from time to time, but keep going back to the contis.

After tossing 3 Ultra 2000s in the garbage because of early sidewall tears I switched to GP 3000s.

The 3000s are a cut above the 2000s. They're more expensive, but are more durable and have better traction, too.

Bikes: 1 trek, serotta, rih, de Reus, Pogliaghi and finally a Zieleman! and got a DeRosa

I really like the Vittoria Rubino Pros. They corner well,
and wear better than the Open Corsas.
I keep hearing that Veloflex are THE clincher tire but
haven't tried them yet.

Hey thanks for the comments.

FYI the Conti3000 are at least 15 grams lighter the Vittoria Rubinos. (at least the ones I weighed)

I could actually feel the lighter tire on my wheels!

The Conti3000's will get a 400 mile road test this weekend -- should be interesting......

Just hope they roll welll....

I've had extraordinary luck with Conti's and won't ride anything else any longer. I'm now riding the GP 3000s (I think) as a training tire and although I hated paying what I did for them, they (as all Conti tires) have been great.
