Help with fork races

I am upgrading forks on a recent model road bike. New fork is a 1-1/8" 700c BSC Profile Design to replace a Slice Cannondale. Everything seems to have a great fit..except the fork crown race making steering impossible.

Obviously being diferent manufacturers the steerer column base is slighly different. How do I get around this little problem? Does PD sells bottom races "adaptors"?
I wouldn't mind replacing the current Cane Creek C1 headset (in great working order) but which one is a compatable one?
I'd appreciate insights.

No such thing as race adaptors. There is one size for 1 1/8. Tolerances will vary from mfg to mfg as you point out, but the race should seat unless the fork is damaged, etc. Sounds like your race isn't fully seated. Did you install it yourself? Did you use a slide-hammer type tool?

Here I hope the pic helps:

As you see on the old one the sealed bearing has a tapered rotating inside that sits nicely at the botom of steerer column, the new fork has a different profile where the bearings as sydney well points out, doesn't quite seat properly & don't see any way it would unless finding a matching one.
I am not sure you can buy just this piece, but how do you find a good match?

Did you remember to transfer the old crown race to the new fork?

Yeah, the old has the crown race on the fork, the new doesn't.That's why the bearing no fit.
